Town of Gilbert: engineering permits
Gilbert's Engineering Construction Permit Checklist (October 2025) says:
- Grading permits for subdivisions and commercial projects need a county dust control permit, an ADEQ stormwater pollution prevention plan permit, a Notice of Intent and a grading and drainage plan.
- The applicant must be the contractor performing the work; a general contractor can't apply for subcontractors.
- A certificate of insurance for at least $1,000,000 in general liability, naming the Town of Gilbert as additional insured, is required.
- A drywell permit covers building a new drywell for an existing drainage system that isn't part of another construction permit.
- Work on or near a roadway, or a haul route permit, needs a Traffic Engineering Application.
- Permits aren't issued until all approvals are granted and fees are paid.
